Born on January 21, 1955 in New York City to a highly musical family, Jamie is a graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Of all his teachers which include, Mike Ihde, Joe Breeze, Tommy Lucas, Don Arnone, Gary Burton and Mike Gibbs, Jamie cites William Leavitt the chairman of guitar at Berklee as his greatest mentor.
In his prolific career he has toured performed with a myriad of great artists including Jean-Luc Ponty, Chick Corea, Lenny White, Manhattan Transfer to but name a few. Jamie’s record as a studio guitarist stands second to none having worked with Bill Conti, Ashely Irwin, Jonathon Wolf amongst many others. He has performed on numerous high profile television shows which include Seinfeld, Melrose Place, Married With Children, Mad About You, Beverley Hills 90210 and The Tonight Show.
A master of many styles Jamie Glaser is an in demand performer. His versatility has seen him tour with diverse acts ranging from Chick Corea, Jean Luc Ponty to Brian Adams. He was a member of the progressive rock band “Glass Moon”. Additionally Jamie has been heavily involved with Hispanic music leading him to perform, write and produce many recordings for artist such as Jose Silva, Gustavo Alarco and the highly successful Mexican female recording artist Gloria Trevi.
Today his work is diverse and eclectic. Residing in Utah he continues to be in high demand as a performer, writer and producer as well as teaching and giving seminars. Currently he is the musical director for the Brunson Brother’s recording studio. He says “I am excited about being the big guy here and being introduced to an enormous amount of fresh and exciting talent”. Jamie also composes for CBS TV, ABV TV, CBS Sports, Animal Planet to but name a few. Recently Jamie has began an online music school named “Jamie Glaser’s Cyber School of Music”.
