Ron Eschete - Arranging for Solo Jazz Guitar Vol 1
Ron Eschete is one of the best in the world on the subject of solo guitar playing, whether it's re-harmonizing original chord changes, creating inner voice motion under a melody, or walking bass lines underneath the whole thing. In “Arranging For Solo Guitar Vol.1”, he uses two old standards to show all his techniques for harmonizing and re-harmonizing a melody. The transcriptions are written on a grand staff with treble and bass clef using using a 7 string tablature staff, where just the notes played on the 7th string are in the bass clef. In this way, a 6 string player can ignore (or transpose) the 7th string notes, and the 7 string guitar player gets a very valuable tool to learn all of Ron's great bass playing lines as well. 35 Page PDF with playing transcriptions in standard notation and TAB.
