Rosenwinkel plays such beautiful lines. In attempt to gain some insight into this great players style I transcribed this lick. It’s one thing to get the notes down on paper, but an entirely different set of questions arise when we try to work out exactly where the notes might be played. As players we each have individual nuances in our playing, developed over the many years of practice. Often what is simple for one player to perform might be so natural for another. The process of working through licks or lines of master players often brings great rewards. Whether it be expanding our physical technique or perhaps our thought processes.
